brand spanking new: IfWeRanTheWorld is 1.0

Over the past 8 weeks, we’ve been trickling in updates & new features, but as of TODAY – sound the horns! – we are pleased to announce the birth of IfWeRanTheWorld 1.0.

Do come and adore our babe:

• A homepage with a living news feed, hottest actors, and featured action platforms.
• It’s easier than ever to create microactions & invite folks to do it – you can create recurring actions as well.
• You can personalize your action platform through choosing a different background color, image, set your own URL and more.
• In fact, the whole action platform has received an upgrade to include a news feed, actor showcasing, & attaching media to comments.
• Act on behalf of those you find most attractive – or just see who the IfWeRanTheWorld superheros are – through the so-called ‘wall of hotness’(spoken of in more detail in an earlier post).
• You are now easily able to publish your activity to Twitter and Facebook (look for these settings in your profile).

Of course, with great change often comes a few hiccups, and in our case this is no different. Internet Explorer is cranky with us, and users of that august browser will see those squabbles play out through hinky layouts. You might notice some other styling bugaboooooos as well.

Rest assured we are flattening these bugs methodically and without mercy, while at the same time bringing online even more goodness.

Thanks to all of you who have been using IfWeRanTheWorld and who have contributed to this 1.0 release – your passion & enthusiasm is inspiring, your support is invaluable.
