This awesome actionplatform comes to us from AMREF (African Medical and Research Foundation). AMREF was around a little over a month ago, and now they’re back for more microactions galore. Their mission: lend your facebook status to one of seven Africans for five days in order to learn more about their daily life. The charity AMREF is an NGO, which has worked in Africa for the past 50 years trying to improve the health and lives of the world’s poorest people. Not only is it a great cause, but it’s the epitome of a microaction – effective and easy.

Community Waitakere of New Zealand is blowing us up for the second week in a row. Focused on developing more sustainable economic and social initiatives, Community Waitakere is dedicated to comprehensively bettering their community. With badass actors like Tim Gregory and Louise Stokes doing microactions, saying we’re excited, amped, and pumped to see the results is an understatement.

If Colin Irwin ran the world, he would get my local children’s playgroup online so they can recruit more pupils. and Set up a website that enables gardeners to share plants, seedlings or seeds.
Colin wants to create a site that recruits children for his own kids’ playgroup. What a wonderful idea, and he has a jump start on it by already completing four of his ten microactions. In a time where kids isolate themselves with video games, our hats go off to Colin for trying to bring them together and encourage social interaction. Secondly, Colin is a novice gardener, who is looking to network with fellow gardeners in order to share seeds and knowledge about growing. Our newest active member rules, and we’re excited to see his actionplatforms come to fruition.
