days 2-5 down under / falling for Waitakere

Aaaaaaand we’re back!  A few days of spotty internet connectivity have driven us to drink, albeit at the beach and with Mayor Bob Harvey in his newly-finished ‘batch’ at the beach in Karekare (which, if you saw The Piano, you might recognize).  Oh how we suffer for IfWeRanTheWorld ;).

Bob has been the Mayor of Waitakere, one of the ‘cities’ surrounding Auckland that is to be combined together into an Auckland Supercity at the end of this year.  It is a kick-ass city - the first eco city in New Zealand, Waitakere is an internationally-recognized model for its environmental & community initiatives - as grassroots as it gets. 

Along with Tim, Bob has connected us with quite a few of community leaders & coordinators of all stripes on how IfWeRanTheWorld can ignite/accelerate/support/solve.

Can I just say how powerfully rewarding all this is?
